Sadly we have had to cancel the Paracycling Grand Prix of Wales 2011.

British Cycling has decided to extend the Senior Track Nationals in Manchester to include Sunday 2nd October and hence clashing with ourselves in Newport.

As we where reliant on officials that are now supporting this event to cover the Grand Prix, we where therefore left without a number of the key people needed to cover such a prestigious UCI event.

Although guarantees where offered that additional volunteer officials would be found, with national squads and individuals about to invest a lot of money on travel to Newport, we couldn't take the risk of not having a full compliment of paracycling experianced officials at this World Class Competition.

After five years of successful growth and with 2011 preperations well advanced the decision to cancel wasn't easy, but we hope you will all understand that this has been done with the best interest of the athletes in mind.

We would like to end by thanking everyone who has supported the Grand Prix over the past five years.
